The primary responsibility of this position is to obtain new business for all PTA plants and to support the maintenance efforts of existing accounts. This position will report directly to the VP, Sales & Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify customers and establish relationships with them, understand customer needs, and develop and present a PTA Plastics solution that creates mutual benefit for the customer and PTA
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with external and internal customers
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for molding technology and tooling solutions to develop deep consultative credibility in the eyes of our existing customers and target accounts
  • Provide to senior PTA leadership updates and reports on high-level opportunities
  • Entertain customers to help establish better dialogue, and relationships. Establish and work within an approved budget for the upcoming year
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback of customer requirements to engineering for quoting purposes. Assist engineering in providing the most accurate quote possible
  • Provide follow-up on those programs that offer significant potential. Monitor and report on status of quotations
  • Display PTA’s capability and value presentation to customer’s engineering, purchasing and management
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory to develop sales opportunities and relationships
  • Support PTA Marketing Department when opportunity arises or as requested
  • Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 50%)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All new tooling is produced on time and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
  • A thorough acquired expertise in all the skills, techniques, and technologies required to perform the job
  • The responsibility for coordinating new tooling with other departments (CNC, Design, EDM)

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quote new tooling, revisions, and initial part pricing as dictated by customer RFQs
  • Initiate the necessary documentation needed to ensure an efficient workflow – i.e. new tooling orders, tooling revisions and quality specifications

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building, the equipment and the grounds
