Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All NC is performed accurately, efficiently and on schedule
  • A complete working knowledge of all NC equipment is displayed
  • All technical aspects of running the equipment (i.e. feeds and speeds, cutter technology, coolants, etc.) have been acquired
  • Machines and equipment are kept clean and in good working condition
  • Mold Maker support is given when the NC area is slow, i.e., polishing, EDM, squaring blocks, etc.
  • Conflicts in priorities or with available equipment are discussed with the Tooling Manager/Supervisor
  • All questions regarding the job are directed to the Mold Maker or the Tooling Manager/Supervisor
  • An inventory of all cutters and tools is created and updated on a quarterly basis
  • Adequate time is spent with the Tooling Supervisor and Mold Maker discussing problem areas, equipment utilization and job planning.

  • The Tooling Manager/Supervisor is informed of all changes in approach, problems or mistakes in a timely manner
  • All information given to others on the job is documented in a clear easy-to-understand fashion
  • Positive and negative feedback to others working on the job is handled in an appropriate manner

  • An understanding of PTA System Procedures involving Tooling related SP’s

  • Must display an understanding of the mold making process

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • All new tooling is produced on time and efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
  • A thorough acquired expertise in all the skills, techniques, and technologies required to perform the job
  • The responsibility for coordinating new tooling with other departments (CNC, Design, EDM)
  • Assume the responsibility for problem solving and directing all peers to come to a common goal
  • Works with the Tooling Supervisor and Mold Designer at the beginning of all programs to determine the overall game plan and methodology of the tool build when required

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quote new tooling, revisions, and initial part pricing as dictated by customer RFQs
  • Initiate the necessary documentation needed to ensure an efficient workflow – i.e. new tooling orders, tooling revisions and quality specifications
  • Direct, monitor, and control individual job progress by effectively managing the triple constraint: cost, quality and time
  • Coordinate customer requests on new tools, revisions, and initial production orders with the appropriate departments
  • Assure complete customer satisfaction by consulting with customer’s technical personnel on product design, material selection, processing considerations, and quality control methods

  • Minimum of six years Project Management and direct technical experience in the plastics industry, i.e. part design, tool design, and tool construction using CAD/CAM, CNC, and EDM equipment, plus extensive materials knowledge, processing, and quality control methods

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate First Article mold approvals and tool revisions
  • Develop inspection plans for each production part
  • Develop cosmetic approval and support documentation on First Articles
  • Provide SPC and SQC expertise that is needed to satisfy requirements set by our Customers
