PTA Corporation, a plastic injection molder and tool builder, is an “entrepreneurial” manufacturer whose customers are leaders in the medical device, defense, homeland security and technology industries including Fortune 500 OEMs. Business has started to grow dramatically and we are currently looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily molding floor routines
• Assists with overtime scheduling of personnel to meet customer requirements
• Assures constant and efficient workflow through organized planning of priorities, capabilities and capacities
• Trains workers in areas of policy, procedures, equipment operation and plant safety
• Assists in troubleshooting of processes and equipment

Other Duties/Responsibilities

• Assures routine maintenance is performed on equipment and maintains a neat and orderly department
• Provides thorough instructions to night shifts, verbal and written. As required, is available for night assistance via telephone
• Promotes quality and encourages team efforts at all times
• Attends technical and supervisory seminars or courses to broaden knowledge as directed by management
• Deals with minor personnel issues and advises Manager and Human Resources when needed of any personnel issues
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Duties

• Assigns daily work responsibilities to floor personnel as directed by production schedule

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years direct technical experience in the plastic molding industry. Knowledge of processing a broad range of engineering resins
• Ability to utilize good judgment and discretion when making decisions and maintaining PTA’s customer commitment
• Possess good problem-solving skills
• Possess good verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• PTA is subject to ITAR regulations; to be considered, the qualified individual must be a US citizen or be a permanent resident card holder
